THE DUO FIELD GUIDE

Read a script while recording with the rear camera

A great script should not decide which camera you use. On supported iPhone Duo configurations, Teleprompter Duo puts your words on the performer-facing display while the rear main camera records.

Why use the rear camera for scripted video?

The rear main camera gives you another capture option for creator videos, lessons, and product presentations. Teleprompter Duo exposes available recording formats for the selected camera, including 1080p and 4K and 30 or 60 fps where supported. Choose the setting your light, storage, and final destination require.

Keep the script on your side of the phone.

The practical challenge with rear-camera recording is seeing your words while facing the lens. The Duo outer reading surface addresses that: you can read the script and see the live preview without turning away from the recording side.

Camera above. Words below.

In the camera-above-reader setup, keep the reading column close to the rear lens. This shortens the distance between the place you look to read and the place you look to address your audience. Secure the phone so the position stays consistent through your take.

Choose the camera before the take.

Check the camera selection and framing in the app. Camera choice stays stable during an active recording. Formats depend on your device and selected lens; 4K and 60 fps are not available in every combination.

Good light still matters.

Face soft light, avoid a bright window behind you, and make a short test with your actual setup. Review the saved video for exposure, focus, sound, and eye movement. The app helps with your words; your light and placement complete the picture.
